On Friday March 27, 2026, all in person financial transactions at M Street and Main Courthouse will be temporarily halted at 12:00PM and will resume on Monday March 30, 2026 at 8:00AM.

The drop box will continue being available for payments until 4:00PM.

Court Investigations

Court Investigations Information

In guardianship and conservatorship cases, the Court requires an investigation to be performed. Once a proceeding is initiated, a Court Investigator will be assigned to the case. The Court Investigator will interview all necessary parties, such as family members, minors, the proposed Conservatee, etc. For more information regarding the investigation process, please call (559) 457-1888.

Investigative Fees

Fees are automatically assessed for investigations. The investigator assigned to the case will review financial information to determine whether a fee is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Requesting Monthly Payment Installments For Investigative Fees

Responsible parties may request to pay their investigative fee(s) in monthly installments by submitting a Payment Agreement Form to the Probate Clerk's Office.  The minimum monthly payment is $50.00 and the account can be paid in advance, if desired.  To retrieve the Payment Agreement Form, click below. Monthly billing statements will be sent to the address on record.  It is imperative that you notice the Probate Clerk's Office of any change of address.
